This is why I love the internet. Because I sit down from the swirling day to procrastinate a few chores and putting the groceries away and an angel says, “Hey you. Yes, YOU! Remember that great read, ‘Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff’? Or that recipe I gave you for making lemonade? Well, in case you forgot, here. Watch this.” Angel has my attention. Got my good cry in for the day. I have had many people who have taught me to hang tough, don’t quit before the miracle, when you’re going through hell, keep on going. And despite having heard and watched and listened, I do forget, until I hear this story and song. And remember. There is only one ME. One YOU. One Mandy. One Simon. And nothing, nothing is wasted in God’s economy.
Ironically, the word on my mind today was RESILIENCY. “Here! Would you like an example?” the universe says. And off I go on my dictionary scavenger hunt (which is far less fattening than the baking I want to do everyday.) “The power or ability to return to original form, ability to recover readily from adversity. Buoyancy.” And I continue. Buoyancy. “The power to float or rise in fluid. Relative lightness. Lightness or resilience of spirit.” Deep breath in and out and wow. I never considered buoyancy as a quality I would aspire to have in my everydays. And then I think about verbs that echo in my awareness. Rise, shine, share, transcend, transform, be, sing, write, love.
Kudos Mandy! @mandyharvey. Your courage and song are a beautiful message for me today. I am rooting for you. And you remind us you are rooting for all of us too.
