I do think this is my favorite card I have ever found for Mother’s Day and I came across it a few months ago actually. And then there IS Mother’s Day. A day that always sparks some stuff. Thinking of my friends who have lost their moms, friends who have not had any children biologically and yet are spiritual mamas. It isn’t all “muffins with mom” cuteness. It’s real and sometimes hard. Can’t we just have a regular day?! Mother’s Day is the busiest restaurant day …of the year. So what about all of those people working who don’t get to celebrate or see their mom or mamas who have suffered the loss of a child?
Thanks to one of my wise people THIS IS the gift this year. To find this postcard greeting card to which I could write a note and send it off. With a special tiny treasure inside that is a fun I love you message and gesture.
I think I know like a bratty teenager some days. And then there is this. A sweet delicious slice of humble pie. Irreplaceable amazing life. That is the gift. TELL YOUR MOM. Tell the mamas whose kiddos forget or cannot yet say the words. Tell the angel that mothers in her own perfect way. .
